Man of Many Pods

I bought my first iPod in 2004, a white 4th generation 20 gigabyte model. White, because it was the only color option Apple offered at the time. If memory serves, it cost me around $300. At the time, there was also a 40 gigabyte model available, but it was about $100 more. I couldn’t conceive of ever filling a 20G iPod, much less a 40G, so spending the extra $100 seemed somewhat wasteful. (When you consider the 1st generation iPod that came out in 2001 cost almost $500 and only had a 5 gigabyte hard drive, well, you do the math.)

It’s Getting Closer

I ordered my new 16GB iPod Touch on the 28th of September, and finally, FINALLY, it looks like it’s actually going to be delivered! Wednesday, October 17th, if FedEx has their shit together. I was getting pretty tired of the “not yet shipped” message on the “check your order status” page after seeing it every day for the last three weeks. But now, all is forgiven. Thank you Apple Store. Next weekend, if anybody’s looking for me, you’ll probably find me “posing” in the closest wifi-enabled coffee shop with my new Touch. Lollerz — I just pooped a ...
