Two Months Later…
Filed Under (video) by tim on 05-03-2008
If it’s really true that you “learn from your mistakes”, then this video would qualify me as a fucking genius. This vlog contains a MAJOR plethora of mistakes, not the least of which is that I thought chroma-keying was easy to do. Anywho, as usual, no pertinent content in this 24th installment of the every-other-month edition of my ever-so-compelling video blog. There’s a shocker. Especially when you consider I’ve been futzing with this damn thing since a week ago Sunday. Almost 2 weeks later, I decided to just put it up and strive to do better on the next one. Sometime in May, probably…
I’ll shorten your boredom and just list the links I mentioned below.

Hey Tim! Nice to see you again! Love the Ren and Stimpy clip, though I do not recall ever seeing that one on tv!
So i did it, I ordered a macbook and it is on the way. I’m pretty excited to dump this PC and enter the world of real computing.
Love the clitoris cam btw!

The green screen is really cool. I’ve been thinking about doing it for Tech Butter tutorial videos. I need to pick up some lighting and of course the felt. Sony Vegas can do it which is great. Video editing on WindBLOWS isn’t the most horrid thing. I’ve been doing it forever. I’m now using Sony Vegas Platinum. I can definitely do a whole lot more than I was able to do before. Overlays, green screen, direct exporting of MP4’s. Really nice for under $100.
You don’t have to apologize for not getting a video out often. I’m sure it’s hard with a full time job (I think your job is full time). It’s always good to hear from you though.
Tim, I am viewing this in mac vision!! I need a private tutorial lesson so I can be uber awesome with my new machine. Please help me oh great one! I will provide a 6 shot, sugar free period blood mocha for your time and energy. Let me know…I am free most afternoons/evenings except thursday, friday, saturday.
TIM CAN’T REID!!
I haven’t watched your videos in FOREVER!
Its nice to see you’re back up and running again… Well, kind of.
I like the green screen idea! And the fatties are HOTTER than ever!! LOL
But I must say that the last video clip, the one of the girl puking while giving head… WTF?! So gross! LOL
Arwen:
I’d LOVE to teach you a thing or two about using a supirior operating system on a oober-schweet laptop. But by now, you’ve probably figured it out on your own! Let me know , though. I’d love to toss back a period blood mocha at your expense!
Andy:
Thanks for the kind words. Like you, though, I REALLY need to get a bigger, badder, more powerful computer and a higher resolution camcorder to do this whole green-screen thing the right way. At least I’m having a good time trying to figure it out. It’s not as easy as people think!
De-WRECK!
Good to shear you’re still alive–I thought maybe one of those drag queens from the Beach stole you away and had you held captive in her single-wide trailer somewhere in the Lapwai outskirts! Hope all is going well with you and your sis, stop by C-City and see me sometime!
Tim:
Pure chroma-key genius! This is an excellent format for you!
I started editing video on Windows, but I didn’t want to invest in good Windows tools to do it with, so I bought a Mac. Can’t imagine doing what I do today on a Windows PC.
I am so glad you’re going to get to go to Pride, I just wish that I could be there to celebrate your homosexuality with you. Michael and I will be in Chicago for Pride…perhaps you can make the trip and we can have a Qpodder get together? JayT is already in!
You’re looking good, BTW!
Justin
Justin:
I love doing the chroma-keying thing, but to tell you the truth, my little Canon Z800 is way too low-rez for that kind of stuff. I guess it’s god enough for web video, maybe, but I think a higher resolution camcorder would really help things out. BTW, your last video looked awesome — you need to give me some pointers on the whole green-screen stuff.
And yes, I too am quite stoked about being able to both (1) be able to afford to go to pride, and (2) actually finally see what the whole Pride thing is about, in a first person kind of way! Lourd, what I wouldn’t give to be able to hook up with you and the gang in Chicago, but alas, that just isn’t in the cards this year. Maybe next year…
