The Drive Home: My Version

By tim

vlog commute thumbInspired by Andy Melton’s beautiful video, “The Drive Home”, I decided to put this little piece of my daily commute up for the world to see. I set my cheap little Canon Z800 in “night mode”, and hand-held it for the last half of the climb up the Winchester Grade and part of the jaunt across the Prairie, roughly the last 15 miles of my daily drive from Lewiston back to Craigmont. The Canon doesn’t do low-light very well, but considering it was almost pitch dark, I guess it’s livable. Note the nice full moon through the plethora of bug guts on the windshield. This is film festival footage at its finest. NOT…

Your video was much more steady than mine. My camera doesn’t have stabilization. Anyways. It was a great video. Very enjoyable. I was waiting for some lady to pop up on the screen. I was prepared to shut my eyes! LOL! The area you were driving through looks beautiful, too.

Thanks so much, Andy. Yea, I did this one in iMovie, so I had no choice but to leave the girls out of it. The bugs on the windshield were gross enough… Damn, I sure wish I could afford a “real” video camera!
